  • Markers, crayons, or colored pencils for coloring

How to Draw a Cupid

Step 1: Start with the Face

Begin by drawing Cupid’s face outline. Think of a rounded shape with little wavy bumps at the top for the hair and a small curve at the bottom for the chin. It’s okay if it’s not perfect—Cupid is all about spreading love, not perfection!

Step 2: Add the Body

Now, sketch a small, rounded body underneath the face. It should curve slightly like a swooping “J” shape for the arm then a curved line for the belly. Connect the leg at the bottom of the belly then a curved line back up to the side of the chin area.

Step 3. Fluff Up the Hair and Add the Wing

Cupid’s curls are what make him extra cute! Add bouncy loops around the top and sides of his head to create fluffy, angelic hair. Then, add a wing peeking out from behind the body. Draw the other leg.

Step 4: Draw the Face and Bow

Give Cupid his sweet expression! Draw two oval eyes, a tiny smile, and add some happy eyebrows for charm. Next, sketch a bow in one hand. Start with a curved handle and add the bowstring connecting the top and bottom. Then draw the diaper because what’s a Cupid without it?

Step 5: Finish with the Arm and Arrow

Complete Cupid’s arm, extending it out to hold the bow. Then draw a simple arrow with a heart-shaped tip aiming upward.

Time to Color!

Now for the fun part—coloring! Use soft yellows for Cupid’s curly hair, pale pink or peach for his face and body, and bright red for the heart-shaped arrow.

Add blue to the diaper giving it a heavenly vibe. Don’t forget to outline your drawing with a black marker to make it pop!
